Results are issued within 20 working days after the test on a Students Record of Performance (SRT). A copy of candidate’s SRT can be sent free of charge by post.
The Students Record of Performance (SRT) includes a number of security features. It is printed on security-enhanced paper and is authenticated by Notting Hill College Official Seal and the official stamps of Notting Hill College and Eton University. This is in addition to a special verification code for every certificate. The verification code helps each candidate to check the validity of each certificate by using our free Education Verification System. See www…….. for further details.
The tests provide an accurate picture of a candidate’s language skills at a given moment. For this reason, the validity of a score as a precise representation of a candidate’s abilities will inevitably diminish in time. Institutions will not normally accept a Students Record of Performance which is more than three years old unless it is accompanied by proof that a candidate has actively maintained or tried to improve their English.
Tests are prepared & marked by teams of professionals; successful candidates receive Certificates of Achievement & Candidate Performance Report. The Credentials carry the officially logos and stamps of Notting Hill College and the School of Continuing Education at Eton University.
The Test of English provides a profile of a candidate’s ability to use English. It is designed to test English at all levels.
At the end of each test every candidate receives her Students Record of Performance. This record charts the overall score as well as individual scores for each test component (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking).
The level of English needed for a candidate to perform effectively in study, work or training varies from one situation to another. That is why each individual organisation sets its own minimum score for applicants, depending on specific requirements.
There are no restrictions on taking all the tests. Candidates can register for more than test if they feel they are ready. Candidates should be advised, however, that they are unlikely to gain higher scores unless they make a significant effort to improve their English first.
It is not a requirement for candidates to attend a preparation course, but any training they do will increase their chances of a better score. Notting Hill College training centres and licensed schools around the world offer preparation courses at local fees. This can create opportunities for you to collaborate with local language training providers.
